Mitch Vakerics | Vice President
Mitch joins The Petrizzo Group with over fifteen years of experience in government relations, working both as a congressional staffer and consultant in Washington, D.C. where he has been instrumental in shaping significant health care policies on Capitol Hill. Notably, Mitch contributed to the bipartisan Drug Quality and Security Act (2013), played a major role in vaccine reform through the 21st Century Cures Act (2016), and spearheaded reforms for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in the CARES Act (2020). His career began with key legislative roles, serving as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and Legislative Assistant to Congressman Tim Murphy (R-PA). These positions allowed Mitch to develop his legislative acumen and establish a strong foundation for his work in the private sector as a consultant.
Mitch holds a B.A. in Communications from James Madison University and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Jasmine, and their two kids, Charlotte, and Webb.
